On line dating marriage statistics

For women, online dating statistics show that a woman's desirability online peaks at 21.

But, at 26, women have more online pursuers than men whereas, at 48, men have twice as many online pursuers as women.

Online dating has been around since the ’90s, and it’s become as commonplace in our lives as entertainment and the media. Is online dating getting people into the relationships they truly want?

We’ll attempt to answer those questions with the following seven online dating statistics about marriage.

50% of New York state residents are single, and the city has the most users on e Harmony.

Only 33% of women who use online dating websites say they have sex on the first online dating encounter, and 60% of female Tinder users say they are looking for a match, not just a hookup.

Here's what they're lying about: 20% of women surveyed by global research agency Opinionmatters admitted to using an older photo from when they were younger and thinner.

More than 40% of men said they lied about their jobs in an effort to sound more successful.

This study was conducted by Philipp Hergovich, of the University of Vienna, and Josué Ortega, of the University of Essex, based on 2013 data from the National Academy of Sciences.

“We found that online dating corresponds with way more interracial marriages, and way stronger marriages, from a mathematics perspective,” Ortega said in an interview with Forbes. In addition to online couples making it through the first year of marriage more often than offline couples, they also say that they’re more satisfied in their relationship.
